Place steak in a shallow pan and pour ale (scottish ale or any dark ale or beer) and marinate for 1-2 hours in refrigerator.
Mix rub ingredients together in small shallow pan.
Remove steak from ale and put rub on both sides of steak.
Let marinate with dry ingredients for 1/2 hour.
