Suggest a better descriptionCube all vegetables and set aside separately. Shake beef with flour, salt and pepper. Brown in frying pan with oil. When brown, slowly add broth or water to pan. Transfer to roaster. Add bay leaves. Cook in oven for 1 1/2-2 hours at 350F. Add all vegetables except potatoes. Cook 45 minutes. Add potatoes. Cook another 45 minutes. Shake in flour with water OR Dark Veloutine. Add salt & pepper to taste.
You can serve over mashed potatoes. Just add all all vegetables at the same time without adding the potatoes.
If using a crockpot/slow cooker, cook double the times listed on HIGH.
