1) Pour half topping into 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with pecans or walnuts
2) In a large bowl mix 1 1/4 cups flour,sugar, salt, and yeast. Combine milk, water & butter in a sauce pan. Beat over low heat until liquids are warm (butter doesn`t need to melt). Gradually add dry ingredients & beat 2 min at med speed. Add egg and 3/4 cup flour (to make thick batter). Beat at high speed 2 min. Add enough additional flour to make a stiff batter. Cover & refrigerate at least 2 hours.
3) Punch down, divide in 2. Roll each & spread with melted butter & 1/2 remaining toppings. Roll as for jelly roll, cut into 12 pieces; line up in prepared pan. Let rise. Bake at 375 25-35 min. or until golden. Turn pan over & unmold while hot.
