Melt Butter and Lard and let Cool.
Dissolve yeast in 75 to 85 degree water (slightly warm). Add sugar and let bubble.
Place Flour, salt, sugar and Nutmeg in bowl and mix. Add yeast, need and form into a ball and let rise for 30 to 40 minutes.
Mix milk, eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice together. Add to flour mixture as well as rest of dry ingredients including zest of lemon. Mix, then add melted fats and mix some more. Let rise in warm place for 5 to 6 hours.
Pre heat oven to 350. 325 if using convection
Grease pans form loaves on pans and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
As soon as it comes out pour rum liberally on top and then brush with melted butter and sprinkle with lots of powdered sugar. Once cool wrap in aluminum foil and store in cold place.
