Making popcorn or kettle corn on the stovetop is so good. The only problem is, it is easy to burn. Here is how to do it so you won't have any problems.
1. Heat the vegetable or coconut oil in a large heavy bottomed pot over medium heat. While heating add three kernels of pop corn to the oil.
2. Wait until all three kernels pop; then you can add you sugar if you are making kettle corn. Stir the sugar around well. Add the 1/2 cup of popcorn and put on the lid.
3. Shake the pot for about 3 to 5 seconds. Then let the popcorn sit for about 3 to 5 seconds. Keep doing this till the popping slows down.
4. Remove from heat. You can take off the lid and add some salt, then put back the lid and shake the pot to mix. Pour into a bowl and enjoy!
