Preheat oven to 350. Separate 4 eggs and whip egg whites until stiff. In a separate pan, blend cake mix, oil, jello, egg yolks and frozen strawberries (reserving 3 Tbsp for icing). Fold in egg whites. Pour evenly into 3 greased round cake pans, 8 or 9 inch and bake per package instructions. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes. Remove from cake pans.
To make icing: Boil the corn syrup. Beat in confectioners sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add strawberries. Add 2 Tbsp of Crisco and blend. Add remaining Crisco. If too runny, add another 1/2 cup of Crisco. Add red food coloring as needed to make pink icing.
When cake has completely cooled, ice bottom layer; add second layer, repeat and then third layer.
Use margarine to grease cake pans - not non-stick spray.
