Suggest a better descriptionBrown ground beef with onion in large skillet. Drain well, them add mushrooms. Cook and stir 4 - 5 minutes longer, until mushrooms are tender. Remove from heat and add breadcrumbs, milk, egg, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and pepper. Mix well.
Boil pasta shells as directed; drain and rinse with cold water. Place on parchment-lined cookie sheets. Stuff each shell with beef mixture.
Spread 1/2 cup sauce in bottom of 9 x 9 baking dish. Top with stuffed manicotti noodles. Cover with remaining sauce. Chill in refrigerator, then wrap, attach bag of mozzarella and Parmesan, label and freeze.
To thaw and heat: Thaw overnight in refrigerator. Cover and bake at 350° F for 20 to 30 minutes or until hot. Uncover, sprinkle with cheeses, and bake 10-15 minutes longer, until casserole bubbles and cheese is melted.
