This stuffed mushroom recipe is a flavorable treat that will be a hit for the family, or when entertaining others. The contents and amounts are recommended after numerous trials, but they can be altered to suite your individual taste.
Remove the stems from the mushrooms and chop fine. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add mushroom stems, shallots and simmer for 4 minutes stirring often. Remove the saucepan from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Add crab meat (including 1/2 of the juice from the can), bread crumbs, swiss cheese, parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and parsely, and blend together.
Stuff each of the mushroom caps with the mixture and then place into a baking pan that will hold all. Cook the stuffed mushrooms in a 450 degree oven for 15 minutes, or until the tops start to slightly brown.
