Clean the mushrooms, remove the stems and scrape out the black gills. In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Cook the msuhrooms for 10 minutes, turning after 5 minutes. Place in baking dish large enough to hold them. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook sausage over med heat in a large skillet, remove from pan, pour off all but 1 tbs of fat. Return pan to heat and cook the onions and garlic until tender. Return the sausage to the pan with the onions and garlic, add 1/2 the spaghetti sauce and basil and mix well. Fill each mushroom with 1/4 of the mixture. Cover stuffed mushrooms with remaining sauce, top with cheese and bake for 30 minutes.
