A favorite!
Saut? onion & celery in butter until softened. Combine onion mixture with bread, pepper, salt, eggs, sage & poultry seasoning in a large bowl. Stir in broth until well moistened. Enough for an 8-10 lb turkey, or bake in a greased covered shallow casserole at 325 for about 35-45 minutes. Take the cover off the last 5 minutes to brown.
NOTES : I used more onion with some cut into thin quarter slices. Also used a combination of white and wheat French bread that I cut into cubes. Think you could add mushrooms or other items and adjust other ingredients accordingly.
