1. In large bowl cream butter and sugar till smooth.
2. Beat in eggs & vanilla.
3. Stir in flour, baking powder & salt.
4. Chill 1 hr - overnight
5. Preheat oven 400
6. Roll out on a powdered sugar surface (vs. flour) 1/4"-1/2" thick
7. Cut into desired shapes
8. Place 1" apart on parchment papered cookie sheet
9. Bake 6-8 minutes - cool completely
can add icing after completely cook
