Suggest a better descriptionCream butter and powdered sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Add in thirds to creamed butter mixture. Divide dough in half. Flatten into disks and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill 1 1/2 hours. Roll to 1/4" thickness and cut with cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes
