Classic and delicious.
preheat oven to 375 degF
Line several baking sheets with parchment.
Mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. 3 - 5 minutes.
Add the eggs and extract to the sugar mixture and mix well.
Add the flour mixture and mix until well blended.
Roll the dough onto a sheet of waxed paper lightly dusted with sugar. Roll into a 1/4 inch sheet.
Cut your dough into shapes.
Take the scraps of dough and roll into 1 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and use a drinking glass to flatten the balls into round cookies.
Bake at 375 degF for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are starting to brown and the middles are just barely set.
