W ash the Sultanas then place in a saucepan and pour on boiling water. Bring back to the boil for 1 or 2 minutes then drain.
Place into a mixing bowl with the butter and sugar and stir until combined. Sift in the flour, then the eggs, vanilla, and amaretto. Mix well then pour into 2 small cakes tins lined with baking paper. Place into a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 30 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 130 for a further 1 hour. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before removing from the tins.
