Bring first 4 ingredients and water to cover to a boil in saucepan over medium high heat; reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes or until beans are tender. Drain beans, reserving 3/4 cup cooking liquid. Discard all other ingredients.
Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon, reserving 2 tbsp of drippings in skillet. Drain bacon on paper towels and crumble.
Sauté chopped onion in hot drippings over med- high heat for about 5 minutes. Stir in corn and cook about 6 minutes, stirring often. Stir in tomatoes and cooked Lima beans, 3/4 cup reserved liquid, cook about 5 more minutes. Stir in butter and last 3 ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Serve and enjoy.
