Vanilla cake
2 9" cakes350 degrees 34-40 min
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and Crisco. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat 2 more minutes. Pour batter into 2 9" prepared pans or 13 " X 9" X 2"
for 30 - 40 minutes
FROSTING
1/4 C Crisco
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups confectionary sugar
In a saucepan, melt Crisco. Remove from heat and add cocoa and salt. Mix in milk and vanilla.
In the mixer bowl, stir the cocoa mixture into sugar. Beat until creamy.
Add 1 tbsp milk if needed for a smooth consistency.
