Pour boiling water over Bran Buds, let cool.
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and buttermilk and beat.
Add soaked Bran Buds and remaining ingredients (except raisins) and mix well.
Add amount of desired raisins and mix by hand.
Stores in air-tight quart jars in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
Bake in greased muffin pan 12-15 minutes at 400?.
Each quart makes about a dozen muffins.
