1. Mix Syrup, salt, fruit, nuts, and red pepper in a small sauce pan.
2. Heat to simmer, stirring to blend. Remove from heat and add extract.
3. Cool to room teperature.
4. Place cream cheese on a plate and top with fruit mixture. Serve with crackers.
I use Craisins Trail Mix but remove the bananas.
