Sweet and Sour Chicken adapted from my mothers recipe, my husbands favorite
First cube your chicken breast
Then chop onions, peppers, and pinapples and place them in a bowl in the fridge
create egg wash by whisking eggs, milk, and franks red hot in a bowl for dipping the chicken
create breading by mixing flour, seasoning salt, and crushed red pepper
Dip chicken in egg wash then breading to bread chicken, (for extra crispy chicken) dip twice or maybe three times :)
While breading chicken heat up your canola oil for frying on Med heat until warm enough to fry chicken. Then fry up the chicken in canola oil depending how big you pan is and how much chicken you are doing at once. It should take 5-7 minutes each round of chicken you put in the pan.
Once all the chicken is fried up in a large wok, add a tbsp of oil to wok and heat it on Med-high heat. Add garlic and stir until browned. Add vegetable mix from before and cook until onions are translucent. Then add chicken and chili glaze to taste and cook until warm.
Serve over steamed rice.
Because this is truley homemade recipe you may have to change the spice levels according to your taste, at my home we like it spicy!!
