Suggest a better description1. Pour water and panela in a pot and cook until the panela dissolves completely. Let it cool down.
2. Pour water with dissolved panela in a bowl and add baking powder, salt and anise, then slowly add P.A.N. Pre-cooked White Corn Meal, stirring constantly until uniform. Let the dough rest for 2 minutes and then knead for 2 additional minutes.
3. Divide the dough into 10-12 equal portions and form small balls. Flatten to shape discs about ¼ inch thick and deep-fry.
4. Remove from heat and drain over paper towels. Eat while hot accompanied with salty white cheese.
