Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Combine beans, oats, sweet potato, cilantro, and onion together in a food processor or large bowl.
Add garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, vinegar, lime juice, and jalapeƱo. Mash or blend until well combined.
Shape into 5 patties of equal sizes with your hands. For crispier burgers, roll the unbaked patties in oats.
Bake for 25 minutes.
If using buns, toast for 5 minutes.
