Suggest a better descriptionsource: Philadelphia Inquirer a few Hanukkah ago Peel and finely grate potatoes. In bowl, mix with eggs and flour. Add sugar, salt and raisins. Mixture will be loose. Spray large frying pan. Add oil and fry until lightly browned on both sides. Enjoy!! [My changes/comments in square brackets.] My kids inhaled these. It was a nice and surprising change from "regular" latkes. I think the article accompanying the recipe said that it came from some new Russian immigrants.
