Suggest a better descriptionSeason pork shoulder in crock pot with all ingredients (I like to puncture all over with a fork or bladed meat tenderizer to help get flavor through cut.) Cook on high for 5 - 7 hours.
Drain juice from crock pot, leaving about 1/2 cup for flavor.
Shred pork with 2 forks. Add Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce until all pork is coated, mix and leave on low until warm (~15 minutes)
Serve on rolls plain or with any combination of jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, horseradish mustard, spicy brown mustard.
Don't be afraid to season! This is a big cut of meat, you need a few tablespoons of each seasoning, more or less chili powder and crushed red pepper depending on how much spice you like. I like to sweat.
Sometimes I'll flip the pork halfway through so the top half soaks in the sprite, but its not really necessary.
You can substitute any lemon/lime for Sprite, like 7-up, Mountain Dew, Sierra mist, whatever the heck RC Cola makes that tastes like that. Mountain Thunder or something?
