This recipe is really easy to make because you start with crescent dough (15 minute prep)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Unroll one package of crescent dough and fit into the bottom of an ungreases 13x9-inch baking dish.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar and vanilla (and/or almond extract if you like). Spread mixture over hot dough in baking dish.
Next spread pie filling over the cream cheese mixture. Unroll remaining crescent dough and lay on top of the pie filling.
Combine 1 Tablespoon sugar, almonds and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top of dough.
Bake 35-45 minnutes or until golden brown.
