combine egg whites and granulated sugar in a metal bowl and place in a pot of boiling water. stir until sugar dissolves and reached 115 degrees. pour mixture into metal kitchen aid bowl with whisk attachment. beat until firm peaks form. add all the sifted powdered sugar and mix. add a handful at a time the butter/Crisco mixture until completely gone. continue to blend until the mixture comes together to fluff.
