Family favorite from Grandma Sybil
Place meat on board. Combine flour and salt.
Sprinkle half of flour mixture on meat; pound meat with rim of saucer.
Turn meat; repeat using all flour.
Saute meat in oil in deep skillet; brown on both sides.
Remove meat; saute carrots and onions in fat.
Add tomatoes, beer, salt & basil leaves; return meat to pan.
Cover tightly; cook slowly until fork tender, about 2 1/2 hours.
Serve with boiled potatoes or of your choice.
