Suggest a better descriptionBrown ground beef in dutch oven with olive oil, drain. Cut up pepper and onion and cook with the beef, just until the onion is translucent. Add the remaining ingredient, except for the tamales. Simmer for 1 hour. Take out the canned tamales, and cut up into 1 inch pieces. Add the tamales and let it cook another 20 minutes. I tried using fresh tamales, but they fall apart, the canned ones hold together better.
Serve with corn bread
