Classic upside down pie

- Mix pastry ingredients in blender, or by hand; do not over mix; ingredients should hardly hold together; spread between two sheets of wax paper; Refrigerate until ready to use
- Use cake pan of 26 cm (not with detachable bottom)
- On stove top, melt butter in pan a medium heat
- When butter starts foaming, add 2/3 of the sugar
- Take out of burner, put all apples pieces standing up together in a circle; it might seem like a lot of apples
- Put the rest on the sugar on top of the apples; put on medium heat again until a light caramel shows up between the apples (+- 20 minutes)
- Take off heat; cool slightly (or even cool down completely)
- Put the pastry on top of the apples, tuck pastry around apples; pierce a couples of times with a fork
- Bake at 375º for about 35 minutes
