From the 12 Tomatoes Website. I wanted a basic recipe with a few extras. So I have taken the original and added other vegetables that I thought would be good since I don't care much for canned peas.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Cook your ground beef in a large skillet on medium heat for 6 minutes. Chop you onion, red pepper and peel and slice your carrott. Add to the beef and cook an additional 6 minutes or until beef has browned and is cooked all the way through.
Strain off excess fat. spread browned beef mixture in the bottom of a 10 X 16 casserole dish.
Spread your thawed peas over the beef mixture.
In a seperate bowl, stir togehter the soup, mushrooms and the garlic powder. Pour soup evenly over the beef mixture in your casserole dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly across the top of the casserole so that it forms an even layer on top of your other ingredients.
Add the tater tots on the top of the other layers arranging them evenly and covering the entire casserole to form a crust.
Place dish in the oven and bake for 50 minutes or until the tator tots begin to turn golden brown.
Cool and serve.
