Can be made tart or sweet to taste. This is not a main dish but I want to classify it as Slow Cooker so I had to use the Main Dish heading.
Boil water and sugar until dissolved.
Pour into a large crock pot.
Rinse fresh cranberries and add to pot.
Cook on high 2 hours and then mash with a spatula if desired.
Continue cooking on high for another 4 hours until sauce thickens.
Serve warm.
Be sure to completely dissolve the sugar before adding to crock pot.
