Grease and flour a 13" x 9" pan. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
In another large mixing bowl, mix together with an electric mixer, bananas, buttermilk, oil and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients and beat on low just until combined.
Add eggs and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Pour the batter into the pan. Smooth out the top.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in few places comes out clean.
Cool cake completely in the pan before frosting.
For the frosting:
2 c sifted confectioners' sugar
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1/4 c + 1 Tbsp creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
for the topping:
1 c chopped Whoppers
With an electric mixer, beat sugar and both butters until crumbly.
Add vanilla and cream and beat until smooth.
Increase the speed to medium high and beat for 3 minutes until fluffy.
Spread over the cool cake.
Top with chopped Whoppers.
