Chocolate chip cookie recipe, courtesy of Butter-flavor Crisco.
1. Heat oven to 375-degrees.
2. Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer for 2 minutes. Scrape sides of bowl frequently.
3. Add egg. Beat until blended.
4. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Beat into creamed mixture at low speed of electric mixer or by hand with a large spoon until blended.
5. Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts.
6. Drop 2 rounded tablespoonfuls of dough into a mound on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375-degrees for 8 to 9 minutes (cookies will appear moist). Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes. Remove to cooling racks.
Note: If nuts are omitted, use 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate pieces.

Prepare The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie as above except replace 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces with 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces plus 1/2 cup milk chocolate pieces and 1/2 cup white chocolate pieces for a burst of chocolate flavor!
Store soft, chewy cookies in a tightly covered container or wrap in plastic or aluminum foil.
