Add salt, milk & herbs. Cover and leave to stand for 30-60 minutes.
Place sausages and oil in shallow ovenproof dish.
Bake at 180?C for 10 minutes.
Pour batter into dish with sausages.
Bake for 40 - 45 minutes at 180?C until batter golden brown and crisp.
Garnish with bacon or spring onions.
