Suggest a better description1. Place the garlic, butter, rosemary, and salt in a small saucepan. Add enough olive oil to cover the garlic and cook over low heat until the garlic is very tender, about 45 minutes, occasionally twirling the oil and cloves ( garlic will turn toasty brown)
2. Strain the garlic mixture through a fine mesh sieve set over a medium bowl. Discard rosemary and put garlic in a small dish. Pour excess oil into another small dish.
3. Place the bread slices on a hot grill pan and toast until golden on both sides, about 4 minutes total. Add a few drops of balsamic vinegar to the oil and serve with the garlic and bread.
To make crostini: Preheat oven to 350. Place sliced baguette on rimmed baking sheet and brush with olive oil, salt and pepper. Bake until glden brown, 8-10 minutes.
