Suggest a better descriptionSaute onion in butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat until tender, stirring frequently. Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper; bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Ladle soup into individual baking dishes; top each with a slice of toasted bread. Sprinkle with cheese. Place under the broiler 2 or 3 minutes to brown top.
Serve immediately.
