Suggest a better descriptionSift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix together sugar, shortening, tomato soup, water, chopped nuts, and raisins. Combine all in bowl. Grease and flour cake pans or 9 by 13 baking dish. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost with sour cream frosting.
This is a very heavy cake. I got this from my mother-in-law. It is an old family recipe.
