Suggest a better descriptionMelt butter in large saucepan over medium low – add onions and garlic – stir about 15 minutes
Add tomatoes and chicken stock – salt/pepper – bring to a boil and reduce heat to low for about 15 to 20 minutes
Working in batches transfer soup to blender with fresh basil and puree until smooth – return to pan and place over medium heat until warm – can add extra stock if too thick. Can also add a bit of half/half or cream
