Saute diced onion in a large skillet. Meanwhile, coat kasha with egg thoroughly. Add coated kasha to caramelized onion mixture and toast kasha until it becomes free and loose. Add broth/stock and simmer covered until ready. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Best served with brisket.
