Suggest a better descriptionIn large skillet, melt butter.
Add onions and celery.
Simmer until onions and celery are soft.
Add sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Dice bread into 1-inch pieces and add to skillet or transfer everything to a large mixing bowl.
Mix until bread has thoroughly absorbed the butter.

Either put in a casserole dish and put in oven one hour before turkey is ready, or stuff a fairly large turkey.
