Bran muffins made super yummy.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a 12-slot muffin pan with paper liners, or grease each cup.
In a large bowl (just as easy not to use a stand mixer), mix the bran with buttermilk, eggs, oil, molasses, sugar, vanilla, and raisins. Allow to sit for 10 minutes to soften the bran.
While that sits, in a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
When the bran is ready, add the flour mixture all at once to the bran mixture and mix rapidly until just blended. Scoop the batter into the muffin cups, filling them nearly to the top. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes.
Remove the muffins from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack. Best the day they are made, but can be frozen up to 2 weeks.
