Suggest a better descriptionTo make dressing, lightly toast 2 Tbsp of the sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat for 5 min, shaking the pan frequently. Set aside.
In a fd processor or hi-pwr'd blender, blend remaining 2/3 c sesame seeds along w other dressing ingredients except the soaking liquid, until smooth and creamy. Stir in sesame seeds. Use soaking liquid to thin to desired consistency.
To make salad, preheat the oven to 400 deg's. Place beets & water in baking pan. Cover & rst 20 min's. Continue rst'g, uncvr'd, until tender. if needed, add more water to keep beets from drying out. Set aside.
Meanwhile, water sauté mushrooms over hi heat for abt 5 min's, using only enough water to keep from scorching. When mushrooms are tender & juicy, add asparagus, and water sauté until slightly tender but still crips, abt 5 min's. Toss w the seasoning & garlic pwd. Remove from heat & toss w bell pepper & water chestnuts.
Place watercress on a plate & pile veg mix on top. Drizzle dressing over all, topping w bean sprouts. Arrange rst'd beets around the edge.
