This is an easy to prepare vegetarian baby food recipe. It's rich in nurtients and has a bang of protein with the garbanzo beans!
Boil a large pot of water (one you might use for soup). Add broccoli stems first as these take the longest to cook. Peel carrots and potatoes. Add broccoli heads, carrots, and potatoes to boiling water (which has the broccoli stems). Open can of garbanzo beans and rinse three times. We don't want little baby boy or little baby girl having too much sodium, now, do we? Get out our 7 cup food processor or blender and process the garbanzo beans and add 1/4 cup water. Once boiling vegetables are soft enough for a fork to easily poke through them, rinse vegetables in a large colander. Add the vegetables one cup at a time to the running food processor or blender. Add the remaining water after each cup of vegetables. Please add as much water as needed so that the baby food is at a consistency that little baby girl or little baby boy will not choke on the food.
Be sure to remember the four day rule: Introduce new foods within 4 day increments. This will allow us to discover or determine if little baby girl or little baby boy has any food allergies.
