Suggest a better descriptionCream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, and salt, and add to creamed mixture alternately with maple syrup. Blend well and fold in nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Top each cookie with a walnut half. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400F.
