This Dip is easy to make and delicious.
In a skillet, heat oil over medium. Add onions; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool.
In a bowl, combine onions, sour cream, cream cheese, vinegar, onion powder and chives; adjust seasoning. Chill dip until slightly thickened, about 1 hour; or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days. Serve with potato chips, crackers or bagel chips.
