Make sauce & cheese mixture day ahead for best results.
Melt butter and saute beef until brown. Add sauce and seasonings. Cover and simmer 20-30 min. Refrigerate overnight.
Blend cream cheese, sour cream and onions (food processor). Refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 400. Cook noodles per package directions and drain. Make at least 3 layers in casserole, ending with sauce. Cover and bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 30 minutes covered. Uncover, top with Cheddar and run under broiler.
