To make it simple, I choose one stalk of celery. Clean it well, chop it about ¾” wide. Get 5 or 6 large Red Delicious Apples. Rinse and core them. Chop them about 1” pieces, then add ¼ cup of Lemon juice right away. Stir as you go. One 12 oz box of raisins, rinse well and dump it all in. I use about 8 to 10 oz of Walnuts. About 1 cup of Mayonnaise. Optional, if you want to add a little more sweetness, a couple tablespoons of Sugar. You can also add a cup of mini marshmallows and stir lightly.
