Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 325F. Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Beat egg and combine with brown sugar. Add to flour mixture. Gradually add water until a stiff dough is formed. Knead until smooth and pliable. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into the classic bone shape. Bake for 30 minutes. Store in refrigerator.
