Cream shortening, sugar, and salt. Add the warm water and 8 cups of flour. Then add the yeast followed by the remaining flour.
Cover and let rise until the dough doubles in volume. Kneed, and allow to rise again.
Kneed the dough and place in pans (filling half way) and allow to rise again
Bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes. Brush the top of the baked loaves with butter.
Make sure you save some dough and roll in to about 1" balls before the last rise. Pan fry these in butter for some fantastic dough-boys!!!
