Add butter to a skillet and saute with the jalapenos until soft.
Add in the milk and stir constantly until it just starts to come to a bubble.
Add in the shredded cheese and stir until smooth.
Season with cumin, garlic and salt.
If the queso seems too thick, add in a little water at a time and stir.
You can place the queso in a slow cooker to keep warm, and for serving.
