Simple and delicious on boiled potatoes, or any vegetable. Favorites are peas, carrots, green beans.
Make a double batch for 6 small boiled potatoes.
Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir one minute.
For THIN sauce, decrease butter and flour to 1 Tbsp.
For THICK sauce, increase butter and flour to 1/4 cup.
